IJU Productions is an Atlanta-based, cross-media company, founded by Charlene S. Bowden. It’s Just Us produces programs that are heard and seen by national and international audiences and has four entities operating under its brand: It’s Just Us Talk Show (IJUTS), The Summit Radio Show and recently launched Living the Life I Sing About.
IJU Production’s shows can be heard and/or seen via internet radio and TV stations and cable TV targeting fans through social media, networking events and our websites. The radio show has been successful using podcasts that link through our website, sending eblasts and news releases about upcoming shows, and developing a following on social media. The talk show has utilized a YouTube channel, an interactive website and cross-markets with the radio show.
IJU Productions creates opportunities for ordinary people to tell their authentic stories and share their experiences and endeavors with a broad, diverse audience and have this information documented in several mediums. The mission of It’s Just Us is to celebrate people wherever they are on life’s journey and provide a platform for them to share the ups and downs of their journeys in hopes of motivating others to never let go of their hopes and dreams. The tagline of It’s Just Us is: “Celebrating ordinary people doing great things and great people doing every day, ordinary things.”
It’s Just Us Talk Show
In 2012, Charlene Bowden, conducted a radio interview with three women for the It’s Just Us Radio Show. The conversation and emotions that transpired during the interview prompted Charlene and audio producer, Robert Williams, to explore the possibility of giving listeners an opportunity to see the dynamics that occur during the radio interviews. Later that year, a talk show was conceived.
Plans were underway to seek funding and a production team. In May of 2013, all of the pieces came together and several segments of the It’s Just Us Talk Show were filmed.
The It’s Just Us Talk Show is hosted by Charlene Bowden. In the initial pilot, Charlene is joined by guest co-hosts, Samantha “Sam” Welton and Lauren Lopez de Azua, for their “check-in” session; a special time when the ladies come together to discuss hot topics or to share the happenings in their lives. Future broadcasts will include, but are not limited to, guest interviews, town hall meetings, artist performances, and business owners demonstrating their products and services. In addition, the show will capture “On Location” segments.
The Talk Show will further the mission of the It’s Just Us brand, “celebrating ordinary people doing great things and great people doing every day, ordinary things.”

Meet The Show Host
Charlene Scott Bowden
Charlene S. Bowden has always been interested in the literary and performing arts. It started in high school serving on the year book staff her junior and senior year. During this time, she also discovered she enjoyed writing short stories. It’s no surprise that later on in life she would have published work.
A lover of the performing arts, Charlene enjoys attending live performances in music, dance and theatre. Again it was of no surprise that, after assisting blues artist Big Robert T market and promote his DVD, that she would begin providing artist management services, which led to the formation of CSB Management Group.
Her academic background includes business school, where she majored in accounting, and a degree in Psychology. A combination of her formal education and experience made her realize how much she yearned to understand people and celebrate them wherever they are on life’s journey.
In December of 2007, Charlene enlarged the scope of services for CSB Management Group to include co-producing events. Her first event was with Hilda Willis under the brand of Living Your Art; Hope for the Holidays (a fundraiser for the Performing Arts Program for Youth, originally founded by Jane Fonda). Over the next several years, she continued to work with Living Your Art on the following productions: the Atlanta Premiere of “Mad At Miles: A Black Woman’s Guide to Truth”, the Ossie Davis Endowment for Education Launch in Atlanta, “The Way Out” in Santa Monica, CA, “Open Door: A Live Listening Performance with India.Aire” in Atlanta and Los Angeles and “Breathe: The Nicole Kelly Story” in Atlanta and New York.
Later she was offered a platform by Aubry Padmore, Executive Director/Program Manager of caribvoiceradio.org, to host and produce an internet based radio show giving CSB’s artists an opportunity to have their music in regular rotation on the radio. As a result the It’s Just Us Radio Show began broadcasting in June 2008 and became a part of the Carib Voice Radio Station family. This also reconnected Charlene to her earlier passion of writing.
